time flies...

Although I've spent an increasing amount of time this year on my bothy project http://bothiesonabike.wordpress.com/, I have found time to complete the series of seascapes which I started in February. The pictures are particularly satisfying because they are all composed of photos from my own burgeoning archive. Over the last 18 months I've been accumulating photos for my own Scottish landscape archive and started a tour of the bothies dotted around Scotland. This is an ongoing project and has been written up in blog...The new work that I have posted this year is a initial exploration of this material and hopefully over the next year or so I'll be creating some more. Just looking back at some old blogs and realised I posted an older version of this picture over a year ago hoping to finish it by last summer...seems the creative process is a long and winding road! Getting closer at least though I have a feeling its going to go through a few more changes yet.

New Landscape

Four versions of a new landscape composite which is as yet untitled. I am really pleased with the way that it has worked out, as this is the first image I have created purely from my own photographic archive.

Unfortunately I haven't had enough time in the last couple of months to sit down and do the hard yards necessary to complete my latest landscape series...However, I have been messing about with a new, totally divergent concept, overlaying images I have archived over the years to produce a set of pictures which i hope create some interesting juxtapositions.
